Jordan, I think I've found a small error that you may wish to correct: In the sentence "So we can see that, immunization was attempted (CDC author’s own word choice) with toxin-antitoxins early in the 19th century", I think the last two words should be "20th century" or "1900s", because the CDC quote not far above says "Beginning in the early 1900s, prophylaxis was attempted". Therefore, "early 1900s" and "early in the 19th century" are referring to two different centuries. (I sometimes wish that the phrase "something-th century" were never invented, since I always need to subtract 1 from the "something" to get the proper century in my head.)

I'm really enjoying your Very Thorough and Very Clearly Explained multi-part essay "Vaccine Evangelists, Apostates, and Apologists." I learned of it from the list of references below Dr. Sam Bailey's newly released video "Inside the Mind of the Antivaxxer" (https://drsambailey.com/resources/videos/vaccines/inside-the-mind-of-the-antivaxxer/). Thank you for such an in-depth analysis/description of some of the psychology that goes on when opposing sides of the vaccine debate state their cases. Your use of analogies helps me see more clearly. Thank You!
