I already donated some Bitcoin to you through another post, and it was on chain, which was not ideal, and cost a decent chunk of the donation given the fee environment right now. I would encourage you to post an LNURL at the end of these so Bitcoin donations can be made over the lightning network. I appreciate all of your work on this, and have found great value the first two posts. On to 3-7.
Hey George, thank you for the comment, glad you're finding value in this series. FYI, I don't have any means of accepting Bitcoin donations, so wherever you sent the bitcoin must have been somewhere other than to me. Not sure how Bitcoin works but I would think that you might want to double check that transaction to see who it went to. My best guess is that you made the donation to a platform that published one of my essays, and if that's the case, thank you; they can I am sure use the support. Take care, -- Jordan
Fair enough, and I appreciate the feedback. Well, I am happy to support the publisher as well. It was from your first post that was actually on a different platform than Substack, and subsequently led me here. Receiving Bitcoin donations is as simple as downloading a wallet to your phone or desktop (I recommend Muun or Blue Wallet), writing down your backup phrase on paper (do not store digitally), and posting a wallet address on your Substack posts. Just FYI, you will have no privacy with those donations as they will all be public. An LNURL is a little higher level, but I thought given the fact that Bitcoin was an option for a donation, along with some other shitcoins, that it would be easy enough to add. Maybe we can circle back up on the LNURL part after you get comfortable with step 1 from above. Cheers.
